Portugal start player Cristiano Ronaldo has denied allegations made by an American woman that he raped her, and threatened her and given money for her silence in 2009, Reported a german newspaper.
The valadity of that out of court settlement is now being states. In response, C Ronaldo, through his lawyers, has decided to sue the media outlet making the claims.
Lawyers said that they would sue german Magazine De Spiege/after it published "blantly illegal" accusations by an American woman who alleges she was raped by the Ronaldo in 2009.
Ronaldo's Lawyer statement, an inadmissible reporting of suspecious in the area of privacy and that he would legal redress for his client from the magazine.
Kathryn Mayorga, a 34 year old Las Vegas native, tells German's Der Spiegel magazine she met him in the city's Rain nightclub in June 2009. Later, in his penthouse in the Palms Place Hotel, she claims the player raped her anally, then apologised.
In Jan 2010, Kathryn Mayorga and Ronaldo agreed a $375,000 settlement in which she agreed to drop all charges in exchange for the payment. She studied journalism before working as a model. she said that settlement out of fear.
She said, But silence had not helped her process the experience, and had given up her job as a school teacher.
