Shivam Mavi & K Nagarkoti ruled out of IPL 2019, Replaced players announced

Kolkata Knight Riders Kamlesh Nagarkoti ruled out of IPL 2019 with a foot injury. Shivam Mavi also ruled out of the whole tournament, owing to stress fractures in his back.



In IPL 2018, KKR had missed teh services of Australia fast bowler M Starc and Nagarkoti because of injuries. But in 2019, Both the players have suffered with diefferent types of injuries and it will take them quite some time to recover.

Nagarkoti,bought for Rs 3.2 crore, was one of the major positives during India's title winning U-19 World Cup last year. He is currently recovering at the BCCI's national Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and will need another 2-3 months to recover.

Shivam Mavi was also part of Under 19 World Cup winning team last year. Mavi plays for Uttar Pradesh in the Domestic , He is likely to be out of action for at least six months.

Who will be replaced?

Franchise announced Sandeep Warrier as replacement for one of the players, He was unsold in IPL 2019 auction in Dec 2018. Warrier was part of the RCB roaster from 2013-15.

Prasidh Krishan had been called in as replacement of Mavi, He impressed in his debut season for Kolkata based franchise.
